I still need/want to lose about 20-25 pounds but I've been maintaining for a while now. I'm sort of comfortable at this weight (175) but I'm going to keep trying.
More important than maintaining my weight is maintaining my FITNESS level. Yes, I'm back on track with healthy eating but I'm getting my exercise in just about 5 to 6 days a week! And as a bonus, I'm getting better at it! I feel healthy, strong. In the cardio boxing class I've been taking on Wednesday I've watched the number of push ups I can do go up! Not that I love push ups but its improvement. (Thanks, Jason!) My endurance for cardio is getting better too!
So if I never lose another pound, I'll be disappointed but ill be ok with where I am as long as my fitness level keeps improving!

Back On the Wagon (Part...I'm not sure how many this is)
Ok, ok. I know I've said it before but I AM definitely, without a doubt, committed to being at goal by New Years Eve! I mean it! I have evidence to back me up!
1. Despite being on vacation for most of the summer and being very lazy about working out, I've managed to maintain my weight for the most part. I picked up a few pounds by the end of the summer but I've shed those already.
2. I've returned to what works for me. Journaling EVERYTHING I eat. It's one of the things weight loss experts recommend.
3. I'm back in the gym several days a week. I'm taking classes a couple times a week too. It's like having a personal trainer but without the $60 an hour fee! Highly recommend!
4. I'm back on track with my eating too. Not just what I'm eating but how much and when I'm eating.
So far since recommitting, I'm down almost five pounds. It's going to be slow but slow weight loss is permanent weight loss. I'm hoping to wear a size 6 (or smaller) dress for New Year's Eve this year!

Tell me if you've heard this one before...
Holidays. We love 'em. We hate 'em. They're a wonderful time to be with family and friends but they truly can be diet wreckers!
I'll admit it. I fell off the wagon this week. I had the double whammy of dirt destroyers. Not only was it July 4th, I was on vacation! It wasn't so much the quality or even the quantity of food I had. My problem was more of the liquid persuasion. I like to have cocktails with friend while I'm at the Shore. That, needless to say, can be a real problem for most folks.
Some tips: avoid juices for mixers. Cranberry juice, although wonderful in a Cosmo, has more sugar ounce for ounce than orange juice. Stick with one type of liquor. Don't try too many different kinds of drink. Stick with what you know. If you can manage it, limit yourself.
No doubt this week will definitely have an adverse effect on the rest of this month for me but I'd rather enjoy my holidays and make up for it later than be miserable.

So Much For Vows
So, a year and a half ago I "vowed" that I would make time to publish. Yeah, see my last post. Ha ha ha!!!!
Well, I'm back.
No, really. I mean it.
A friend told me that the funny things I say stick in her head. I said I should write a book or a blog at the very least. Then I remembered I already had one!!!!!
So here it goes...again...I'm going to give it another go!
